SURFACE PREPARATION

GLASS BEAD BLASTING /  SHOT BLASTING /  SANDBLASTING

It is the operation of projecting abrasive material under high pressure against a surface, thus removing and cleaning the layer we aim to work on. Depending on the surface and its hardness, we select an appropriate abrasive material and project it under a specific pressure to create the right result.

The abrasive blast cleaning consists in removing the damaged layers due to corrosion, rust, or the necessity to clean the superficial layers.

Abrasive blast cleaning is necessary to prepare the surface for a further protection and finish treatment. It gives the surface the right rugosity for a good adhesion of the following treatment layers.

1. ABRASIVE GLASS BEAD BLASTING

In the chamber, it is the process of shooting abrasive material composed of glass beads, which is obtained through a glass treatment at high temperature. Its properties and characteristics are specially indicated for preparing and cleaning stainless steel, aluminium and wood.

2. SHOT BLASTING

In the chamber, it is the process of shooting abrasive material composed of steel particles. Its hardness and impact make it specially suitable for preparing and cleaning metal surfaces.

3. SANDBLASTING

The abrasive material is silica sand. It is mainly used in the portable equipment to go on the outside.
